Deepening University-Enterprise Exchange and Building Development Momentum: A Professor from Harbin Institute of Technology Visits Jiangsu Simand

On December 4, Professor Wang Gaolin from Harbin Institute of Technology visited Jiangsu Simand for exchange and guidance. President Peng Hanguang of Simand Innovation Research Institute accompanied the visit. Professor Wang toured the exhibition hall and learned about the company's history, core technologies and industrial layout before both sides held a seminar on technical cooperation and innovation.

Professor Wang is a leading figure in electrical engineering at HIT, with deep academic expertise and outstanding research achievements. His research focuses on permanent magnet motor drive control, sensorless technology and other frontier fields. He has published more than 80 papers in IEEE Transactions, undertaken over 30 national projects and won two first prizes at provincial and ministerial level.

At the meeting, both sides reviewed progress on the jointly built project for automatic motor parameter identification and adaptive startup. The algorithm migration is basically complete. The next step will focus on overall effect testing and performance optimization based on test data.

The Simand R&D team also raised key technical topics in electric drive and digital power, including low-speed high-torque startup algorithms for home treadmills, inverter algorithms for a French portable power project, motor harmonic control and noise reduction, compressor carrier-frequency dithering noise reduction and low-cost non-electrolytic motor drive solutions. Professor Wang provided targeted and practical suggestions for each topic.

Professor Wang also shared HIT's development achievements and cooperation experience in related fields, including the history of electrical engineering, institute structure, core research areas and research teams, as well as frontier algorithm studies.

The seminar supported ongoing cooperation and sparked new ideas through technical exchange. Simand Innovation Research Institute will continue to deepen university-enterprise collaboration, promote industry-university-research integration and help more research outcomes take root at Simand.
